Man held for threatening Karisma's husband

Mumbai : Delhi police have arrested a youth from here on charges of sending threatening e-mails to Sunjay Kapur, an industrialist and husband of Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, demanding Rs 50 crore as protection money, police said here today.

The accused, Rajkumar Wazirchandani (38), who runs a video parlour in suburban Mulund, was arrested yesterday and taken to Delhi, police said.

He is expected to be produced in court later in the day.

Kapur, embroiled in a legal battle with estranged wife Karisma, had complained to Delhi police last week that he had received an extortion threat.

Rajkumar allegedly had sent e-mails from an internet cafe in the area, threatening Kapur of dire consequences if he did not pay the amount.
