The much awaited interview of jailbird Paris Hilton, once she departs from the slammer, may be with the Today show and Meredith Vieira, and not Barbara Walters. According to a report in a tabloid, NBC is set to fork out $1 million for the dialogue, which will be on the today show the day after Paris says goodbye to Lynwood. The report also says that it will be Meredith who will do all the talking, not Matt, because of disparaging remarks he’s made about the heiress. This news is said to have infuriated ABC bosses and Barbara Walters, who was initially supposed to take the first post prison interview. Meanwhile, Hilton has revealed that she is a changed woman who is grateful for everything she has. In an interview she said that her gratitude has gone up so much for even the basic things she has been lucky enough to have.
