Web based Expression of Interest system for the Immigrants

New system of Application for the Immigrants will connect them to the Employers faster

By 2014, web-based “Expression Interest System” will be in place, as announced by the Immigration Department.

It will be a route for the invitation for the Immigrants to place an advertisement on their skills which will be saved on the database of Canadian Government and the attempt would be hire labors who can work permanently for the employers and in turn the country.

The features of the program

The program is an outcome of the effort made over the period of five years. This has been developed to invite and make things easier for economic immigrants who will have a platform to advertise their skills so that the employers in Canada can locate them.

Mr. Kenney informs in this regard that, “the immigrant applicants can go into this pool, and then employers or the department or provinces will be able to fish out of that pool.”

The advantages of the system

The program is a platform which will be an actually a juncture of “supply and demand”. The system is quite an active one because the applicants can advertise their skills and experiences as per their own choice. Also, the employers can look for an employee according to their requirement.

An applicant cannot apply for “permanent residency status”; rather they will have to wait for an invitation coming from the official source in Canada.

Employers and provinces have been requested to choose employees form this site so that the program can work out successfully for the immigrants and the nation as well.

The economic advantages for the country

Employers, who had to depend upon temporary worker for filling up their vacancies, will now be able to hire workers who are skilled on a permanent basis. This will not provide security to the industry but will provide economic strength to the country.

Considering the aging population of the country such a system is the need of the hour. These skilled immigrants should be able to stay here for a prolonged period of time then only would their contributions make the economy even stronger.

Requirements to be met by the applicants

An applicant will have to fill up their occupation, work experience, education and proof of language proficiency while making the application.

Of course, the educational credentials will be checked against the Canadian standards.
