US states, cities making new laws on undocumented immigration

United States, 13th December: Several US states and cities are busy enacting laws to deal with undocumented immigrants.

Aim of all such US state immigration laws is to make the path to come, live and work in the US almost impossible.
Immigrant crackdowns by several US states--Some of the US states involved in passing such laws aimed at undocumented immigrants include North Carolina, Texas and Arizona without direction from the federal government. So, with an increasing scarcity of jobs in the US worsening day by day, the issue of dealing with undocumented immigration is no longer restricted only to border states.
The recent enforcement laws currently enacted by a couple of US states include crackdown on undocumented immigrants to make their lives difficult and to give a warning signals to those wanting to come to the US without legal means.
North Carolina lawmakers target undocumented immigrants—North Carolina is one such state whose lawmakers are up in arms against undocumented immigrants living and working here. They are considering a move to restrict such immigrants from living here. For this, meetings are being organized to decide ways to tackle with undocumented immigrants.
As per a new requirement, it was made mandatory for majority of employers and local governments to verify the legal immigration status of potential employees before hiring them.
NC lawmakers feel stringent state immigration laws in other states would attract a large number of undocumented immigrants to North Carolina.
However, many immigrant advocates fear such moves are the games of clever politicians of North Carolina.
