United States, 5th June: The United States is still a popular choice for investing in property for a majority of Brits with US visas, states a real estate expert.

Editor at BuyAssociation, Paul Collins said that more and more UK homeowners seeking immigration overseas are opting for the US as their first choice.
There has been an increase in the sales of US homes by 7.6 percent in the month of April as compared to an increase of seven percent in the previous month, the latest data by the National Association of Realtors reveals. Moreover, the sales of the US homes increased by 22.8 percent in April 2010 as compared to April 2009.
Giving further details about this, Collins stated that among the popular choices in the US this year will be Florida and east coast especially for those wanting to live in the US since these two regions will have a good tourist market. These two regions are likely to become a prospective goldmine for potential investors in the US.
The interest in buying US homes for the Brits is for investment purposes and also for good lifestyle that comes with it, the expert maintained.
There has been a considerable increase in the number of searches for foreign real estate by around 111 percent since April 2009, Primelocation.com, a famous search engine meant for finding homes overseas, reports. Moreover, the searches for residential accommodation in the US have gone up by nearly 145 percent, the search engine added.
Mr. Collins has a suggestion for those wanting to invest in property in the US. He urges them to make use of a special currency provider when buying real estate in the US to avail benefit of better rates. If they want to make savings worth tens of thousands of UK pounds while investing in US property, they must go for professional organizations and not for any high street bank, the real estate expert added.
Those interested in making investments in overseas real estate market need to go for sufficient detailed research with the property developers and the Land Registry to reduce the investment risk in the nation.
