Updates on Healthyway immigration racket

India, 23rd August: In what is being termed as the largest immigration racket engulfing Chandigarh, several clients allege they are yet to get back not just their money but even important documents deposited by them with the immigration firm.

Immigration victims baffled—want vital documents back--According to one of the victims of Healthyway Immigration, Deepak Randhawa says he is feeling totally shattered and cheated, like many others. He says he had deposited a total of Rs. 5 lakh to the immigration consultancy way back in December 2010 for getting a UK student visa.

The firm had promised to deliver the UK visa within a span of twenty days. However, he is still waiting for the fateful day. Randhawa says his vital documents are also lying with the immigration company and he needs to get them back as early as possible.

Stress and disbelief is written on the faces of many youngsters cheated by this immigration firm in Chandigarh, adds Randhawa who has been shuttling between Patiala and Chandigarh for several days in a row now.

The same tale of woes is unveiled by Gopal Chand from Kurali in Punjab, who too has been duped by Healthyway Immigration firm in Chandigarh. He is urging the concerned authorities to facilitate returning of their vital certificates at the earliest.

Although, the Chandigarh police officials are working to solve the issue of large number of complainants, the procedure is going to consume a couple of days.

Police investigating into Healthyway Immigration workings--Detailed probe is going on into the workings of Healthyway Immigration consultancy in Chandigarh as police officials queried around 24 workers of this immigration company.

Giving information about the latest developments in the issue, Anil Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police and head of Special Investigation Team (SIT), said more documents have been sealed from the office of the immigration firm.

As per the revelation given following the search, SIT said around 200 bogus documents were seized from the immigration consultancy’s Chandigarh office. These documents were alleged to be submitted to different embassies by the immigration firm.

It’s almost a week since seven FIRs were registered against Healthyway Immigration Consultants in Chandigarh. Chandigarh police has called for cancellation of the license of this immigration consultancy while making an appeal for blacklisting of the firm by Indian Ministry of Home Affairs.
