Undocumented Immigrants will be given an opportunity to stay back

In a recent development Obama Administration has decided to allow all the undocumented immigrants to apply for staying back in USA temporarily.

About 800,000 young illegal immigrants would be benefiting out of the new move. They can stay back for 2 more years after their case is approved by the officials.

Department of Homeland Security will begin accepting the applications and the undocumented immigrants would also be allowed to work after getting an approval.

In this regard, a Senior Official informed that they are going to issue a very clear statement that’s going to say that information contained in the request will not be used for immigration enforcement purposes.

Luis Gutierrez says, “You cannot overstate how important this moment will be in immigrant communities and Latino neighborhoods.”

The application fee would be $465 which would be used for funding the additional staff required to meet the process. This would also help in meeting the total cost of $585 million for the implementation of the policy.

Exemptions will be given to very few cases like homeless individuals or disables who are not in a position to pay the application fee.

In spite of fixing up the fee, there are some sections that have the fear of immigrants to be charged exorbitantly high fee by the lawyers and attorney.

About 1.4 million applications are likely to be submitted in the days to come. One may qualify to enjoy the benefits if
An immigrant has entered U.S. before the age of 16.
An immigrant has lived in U.S. for a minimum of 5 years
An immigrant should be should be under the age of 31.
Must have a high school Diploma or GED
An immigrant has been discharged from the military with honor.

The Officials of the concerned department have requested the applicants to be away from scamsters, as they might charge a huge amount of fee and misguide them. They are guided to refer the website to get also possible guidance and help. The Applicants are also warned of not stating any wrong information to lure the officials for approving their application.

The Immigrants who have been staying with an uncertain future or with the fear of being deported are very with the development. On the other hand, there are some who observe this step as a way to win the elections. The matter of fact is that the move has relieved a lot many illegal or undocumented immigrants.
