UK student visa reforms need to be welcomed

United Kingdom, 23rd September: The recent changes in the UK student visa rules are not going to affect entry of qualified international students into the UK.

A large number of international students fear that recent changes in the UK student visa rules might make it quite difficult for applicants desirous to move to the UK to pursue study courses there.
The international students also fear that the already fewer opportunities of jobs in the UK for migrants hailing from non-EU nations along with the declining number of scholarships for the students are going to make things difficult for them.
However, the truth, on the contrary, is that all the changes introduced by UK immigration department in the rules for UK student visas are for the benefit of genuine candidates wanting to live and study in the UK.
And the main motive behind the introduction of new UK student visa overhaul is to deter dishonest migrants from entering the UK and barring them from overstaying their UK visas.
Its been come to the notice that several migrants had been coming to the UK in the guise of studying there but their real intention was not pursuing study in the UK but to get jobs in the UK. Hence, all such immigrants had been misusing the UK student visas for entering into the UK.
The repeated assurances given by UK immigration minister Damian Green reinstate the fact that UK is still open to all genuine candidates who wish to seek enrolments in the UK educational institutes to study there, especially for degree courses.
Meanwhile, the inflow of students wanting to study non-degree courses in the UK might be affected by the recent UK visa rules.
As per the latest official figures, nearly 50% of the international students coming to the UK study non-degree courses in different UK colleges or educational institutes. And nearly one out of ten cases are related to bogus colleges in the UK which are proving to be a gateway for those looking to work in the UK.
So, the message is to send warning bells for non-genuine candidates seeking immigration to the UK to get jobs there and not for genuine international students wanting to study there.
