UK’s new visa changes for international businesses

This has been announced by the UK Immigration minister Mark Harper.

UK announced business friendly visa norms—New UK visa rules have been announced by the UK government recently.

As per the information, these UK visa norms will become effective from 1st October this year onwards.

And this information was released by the immigration minister Harper through a written statement of changes. A number of new rules will become effective and aim of all these new rules is, undoubtedly, to make the UK a preferred choice for immigrants wanting to come and set up new businesses here. It will give the UK a winning edge over other nations for luring foreigners to come and start new businesses in the UK.

The UK government will have new rules for UK new business aspirants from foreign nations wanting to come here.

Highlights of the UK visa changes:--With effect from 1st October, 2013, following changes will be working- • Eliminating requirement of English language for intra-company transferees.

As of now, all foreign workers coming to the UK on a UK Tier 2 (ICT) visas were required to clear an English language test if they wanted to live for three years in the UK.

• To help make it simple for UK Tier 1 visa applicants under the category of artists of exceptional promise, the UK has introduced a new rule for granting UK visas. Under this change, foreigners with exceptional talent will get such UK visas provided they are globally recognized as leaders or potential leaders of talent in arts and science and wishing to work in the UK.

Current UK visa rules are quite difficult for seekers of exceptional talent UK visas since the number of visas is limited to 70

. • Elimination of limitations of share ownership that are application to high-earning employees. Not more than 10 percent of the shares can be owned by the UK Tier 2(Intra Company Transfer) officials in a firm which sponsors their application for UK Tier 2 visas.

• Those with UK Tier 1(Graduate Entrepreneur) visa already in the UK wanting to switch to UK Tier 2 skilled work visa category will have easier rules.
