The request of same sex sponsorships came up in last year required the officials of the Ottawa state to consider the similar sex policy again and fix up the loop holes in it.
The authorities have asked the Canadian ambassadors at visa offices in different countries that with the tightening of rules at this point they need to be confident that same sex marriages held in the native country or embassies are legal and should make sure they are fraudulent for the only purpose of immigration. Then only the partner could be considered for legally coming to Canada and settle here with the partner.
As per the immigrations authorities the same sex marriages is allowed in for the embassy purposes even and are considered legal. Once declared the marriage amongst them is legal, the immigrant in Canada can work on sponsoring his partner or both of them are eligible to apply for migration to the country.

It must legal in the native country. The authority also stressed that the ones getting married in an embassy in the alien country should confirm the officer that they have complied with all the rules and regulations regarding this marriage in the native country.
According to the experience of immigration officials they feel couples find it quiet safe get married at the embassy of the foreign country.
The Canadian embassy people are required to know each and every detail about the marriage and that it is approved by the native country of the immigrants.
