Students in US face difficulty in getting work permits

The newly graduated students are finding it very hard to get work permits even after the new announcements are made by the President.

It is a real cause of worry currently students are facing great problems in order to get work permits in the country. Such a situation is hindering them serving country and as well as encouraging illegal stay. The government is making hard laws for issuing work permits after the recent reforms suggested by the President.

President’s Reform:

As per the recent announcement made by the President Obama, those illegal immigrants who has been brought to the country by their parents before the age of 16 and are currently under 30 have been given a good chance to escape their deportation and legalizing their stay by applying for their work permit for two years and that can be removed any number of times in future. This policy is supposed to change the fate 8, 00,000 immigrants. Such a decision is no doubt very favorable for the young illegal immigrants and this step also encourage legalization of immigrants but it is a straight question for employment rates, as the number work permits to be allowed to such immigrants and also to the number of students who will be completing their courses in near future.

Reaction to the Policy:

The announcement spread like the fire in jungle and was welcomed by the illegal immigrants fulfilling the eligibility conditions. Majority of them have opted for the plan and have been applying for work permit with the dream of working and staying the country. The official process to finalize it is still going on by the Department of Homeland Security.

Employment Worries:

Taking in view of the current situations, it is quiet certain that country is required to increase their employment rates. Currently the unemployment rates are staggering it is as high as 8 per cent this year. As per the circumstances the college graduates are facing tough problem to find appropriate jobs. Hence, adding on more such people is extra burden for the economy and will adversely affect by increasing the unemployment rates. If it carry on then it will be very challenging to find a good job.

Student’s Concern:

Increasing number of the applicants is a cause of worry for the students who are completing or have completed their courses, now they have to struggle and face hard competition. The situation is serious for those also who have especially opted for foreign studies in US and now at this point they are not able to get relevant work permit to enhance their skills and serve the country.
