Immigrants coming from India and Pakistan get a rough deal in UK

Among all the South Asian immigrants, number of those from India and Pakistan more in compared to the other countries. For decades now, people have been moving from South Asian countries in look out of a job and also to gain higher degrees or on a project.
There are many case histories which reveal that, immigrants mainly from India and Pakistan have been facing tough challenges and non-acceptance from the natives in U.K.
There are immigrants who came here to achieve higher degrees, they did so and got hired in quite good firms but after sometime when they seemed the extension of their visas they were denied the same.
Even the skilled immigrants are facing such problems. In spite of being hired and staying in the nation for quite some time now, they are not allowed to bring their spouse and children to this country.
Recently a new rule has been introduced which says that an immigrant wishing to settle down with non-EU spouses in UK must earn a minimum amount of 16 Lakh in a year. Those who earn even a single penny lesser than this would not be able to bring his spouse and children. People choose Britain for migrating due to its convenient policy on “family migration”.
Now the British government is aiming to reduce the number of immigrants from 200,000 per annum to may be a few ten thousands every year.
The new changes in the “Immigration policy” have brought in a lot of worry for the Indian and Pakistani Immigrants.
An Immigration Lawyer, Maria Fernandes Vaz says, “The U.K. government seems to deflect its economic ills on immigrant’s communities.” She feels sorry about the sate when the poor who do not want to take social benefits will also not be welcomed.
As of now, a couple had to earn a third of the new requirement to stay in UK. The government has also scrapped post study work visa and has also fixed up the number of workers or employees who can be hired from abroad.
Government is not ready to consider the fact that international students have a huge contribution in the economy of the country.
The support coming from immigrants both in the form of economy and skill can never be denied by the Government of UK, yet there is turmoil against them.
