Scotland’s needs ignored as student visas crack down

The recently introduced rules have become worrying factor for Scotland Universities which has properly taken into account by the UK policy makers.

As recently UK is working to crack down the number of immigrants to the country from around hundreds of thousands in previous to lesser number to around just ten thousands in the coming years.
David Cameron’s have found a way to put this reform into action. They have been revising many visa categories to tighten the number of immigrants to the country.
But everyone is not very happy with this action, according to the reports got from the sources the Home Affairs Committee and the Scottish Affairs Committee from the House of Commons brings up the idea that this Coalition Government’s immigration reforms may come with the adverse effects to the country.
According to the experts the reforms introduced by the government on the student’s visas may come with the depleting affect on the country’s universities and economy.
It has been estimated that due to the new rules the economy could suffer a high loss of around £3.6 billion alone from this education sector.
These reforms are thought to be made without considering the Scotland universities. These scot universities have been the favorite amongst the overseas students, and have been drawing large number of students, who aspire to study in the country, but the reforms have not taken this into account and now the curbs will be a disturbing factor for them.
With these developments taking place, the Scottish Affairs Committee has cautioned the government about the adverse affects which the Scott universities will be facing.
They also have hinted the reformers that these new rules will bring lopsided impact on the universities and also the economy of the country. The education experts have raised their concerns about this situation and have also asked for the exemption for Scot universities from these new rules, so that the problems could be avoided.
The new rules are not merely about the limiting the number but also changing the employment issues from the ongoing previous ones which also attracted the students to study as well as work here.
Now with these changes will cause the skilled and qualified students to go to the other countries.
They are of the view that the universities are operating in competitive global market and international students are important factor contributing to the country in a better way.
According to these experts the government should move towards an accurate policy which identifies the sham students and should not become a restriction for the deserving ones.
