Rich and ready for investments? Become permanent resident of the UK

United Kingdom, 26th November: Are you rich and willing to make investments worth £5 million in the UK? Well, then you can look forward to becoming a permanent resident of the UK and getting UK citizenship.

That’s exactly how the new UK immigration rules are shaping up.

The UK government is working up to attract and invite more and more foreign millionaires to come, invest and live in the UK permanently.

So, although, the UK government has considerably slashed the number of UK visas for skilled workers hailing from non-EU nations, the nation is working up for allowing higher number of wealthy investors into the UK.

And among the nations being targeted by the new UK immigration policies meant for foreign investors include India.

Just a few weeks ago, the UK Prime Minister David Cameron had announced of plans to introduce a new category of UK visa meant for foreign investors to live and set up business in the UK.

The UK entrepreneur visa is meant for wealthy foreigners ready to make big investments in the UK through setting up of businesses resulting in creation of new jobs in the nation.

So, if you happen to be a wealthy Indian with plans to make it big in the UK by becoming an entrepreneur there, then you are a suitable applicant for the UK business visa or the UK entrepreneur visa. The eligibility requirement for UK Tier 1 investors program is to make an investment worth £2 million for getting a UK Tier 1 entrepreneur visa.

The best thing about the new UK immigration policy for UK investor visas is that the minimum requirement of remaining physically in the UK has been lowered from the earlier 9 months period to 6 months period. Moreover, the time period required for becoming a permanent resident of the UK has been reduced to two to three years from the earlier time of five years.

Till now, the UK has been inviting just a handful of applicants under the UK investor visa category while nations like Canada and the US had been attracting a large chunk of foreign investors. However, the new changed rules will increase the number of aspirants for UK investor visas/UK business visas thereby increasing the contribution to the UK economy.
