An applicant also needs to have qualifications in any of the 114 professions included in the Areas of Training List(updated August 2013). There are 146 occupations on the new list with special emphasis on engineering and nursing. 6-16 points can be awarded for area of training under Quebec Skilled Worker Program.

Can it reopen?—Well, as of now, there are no details as to whether this Quebec immigration program for skilled foreign workers may be re-opened after it reaches its deadline 31st March, 2014.
