Australia, 17th September: Life is getting better for people in Australia, states the recent report by Australian Bureau of Statistics.

People living in Australia are becoming wealthier and living longer than almost 10 years ago, the report adds.
Australia certainly has become a much better place to live in due to the fact that education levels of Australians have improved over the last decade.
There has been a significant fall in the suicide rates in Australia and the number of people volunteers has also gone up in the recent past.
Wealth is growing not just for middle income or higher income families but even for people belonging to low-income groups, the study by ABS (Australian Bureau of Statistics) finds.
Although, on environmental grounds, the nation certainly has progressed backwards, but overall, the quality of life in Australia has improved significantly than what it was 10 years ago.
Improvements have been noted in community, family and social cohesion as the percentage of children living with unemployed parents has declined taking the figures to 13 percent, the figures for 2007-08 show. In the 1990s, the figures of children living with parents without any jobs in Australia had touched an all new high of 18 percent.
Number of adults volunteering in Australia has gone up by 50 percent.
People in Australia are living longer by almost two to three years and the general health of people living in Australia has improved significantly.
Jobs in Australia have also gone up recently resulting in a sharp decline in the rates of joblessness in Australia from 7 percent in the year 1999 to 5.6 percent in 2009, the ABS figures reveal.
The number of Australians receiving vocational education or higher education has hiked from 49 percent nearly ten years ago to 63 percent presently.
Australians are becoming wealthier and this is true especially for those living in WA’s (Western Australia) mining regions. Average household income of middle class families in Australia has grown up to 46 percent while the growth of annual household income for low-income families has been 41 percent.
Australia is known in the world for having cheerful sunny climates and these inviting climates have inspired and attracted many to come to Australia and enjoy its natural bounties.
