No UK immigration limit for Indians to the UK—Cameron

He was speaking during his recent visit to India.

No limit on Indians wanting to study in the UK—Mr. Cameron, during his speech in Mumbai recently, said there is not going to be any limit on the number of Indians wanting to come to the UK study here. He further maintained that such Indians could stay in the UK in graduate-level jobs after getting qualified.

Some say such a provision for Indians aspiring to the UK would risk a big controversy for David Cameron. He is in India along with a big trade delegation that includes several representatives of the Premier League.

The UK does not have any immigration limits on the number of Indians wanting to come to the UK for studying or for setting up businesses here, said UK PM Cameron.

Flexible US visa norms for Indians—Cameron—Cameron has promised to make easier UK visa norms for aspirants wanting to come to the UK from India. And in lieu of such easier UK immigration rules for Indians, what he wants from India is relaxed business rules to help UK firms make investments in Indian economy.

Same day UK visa service for business people—Another highlight will be introduction of a same-day UK visa service for businesspersons wanting to come to the UK, said UK PM Cameron. This will re-affirm UK’s image of being an open and easy-to-invest nation in the world.

UK welcomes bright and best Indians—The UK Prime Minister Cameron, while reiterating his pledge to bring down the UK immigration levels down to ‘tens of thousands’, said the aim is to attract and retain the bright and the best talented individuals from India to the UK.

So, he welcomed Indian students and Indian businesspersons to come and live in the UK. The need of the hour is to have a proper and a controlled immigration policy for the UK, affirmed UK Prime Minister David Cameron.

So, the UK looks forward to welcoming more and more Indian students to come and study in the UK and there is actually no upper limit of such Indians, he clarified.
