New Zealand, 13th August: Lifestyle of New Zealand happens to be the top reason for a large number of investor migrants opting to move to New Zealand, reveals a latest study commissioned by Investment New Zealand and Immigration New Zealand.

The aim of this study was to find out how to attract investor migrants to come to New Zealand.
The study interviewed nearly a dozen immigrants coming to New Zealand on New Zealand investor visas.
During the interviews with investor migrants, it was found that they had greater attraction for lifestyle of New Zealand rather than tax and business concerns while seeking immigration to New Zealand.
The report maintained that immigration decision is a decision of heart and investor migrants chose emotive topics rather than rationality and facts.
The study asked the investor migrants taking part in the research to select the top message that was close to their heart while consider move to New Zealand out of the total 30 messages.
And it emerged that the message which came at the top of the list was that New Zealand is a wonderful place to bring up your family.
The second message that was the most sought after was that New Zealand is a small nation having a great sense of community.
The message that was found to be most unfavorable was that investment in New Zealand is not just about relocating; rather it is about regenerating income for your business. Another message that was disliked by participants in the survey was that the government of New Zealand knows getting your overseas tax issues in place is indeed a time-consuming process.
Most of investor migrants coming to New Zealand have young children. And children are considered to be an important element while taking any decision regarding immigration to another nation. The study maintained that while young children are considered as a motivating factor for immigrating abroad, teenaged children, on the other hand, are a big obstacle.
The present study is a reiteration of what has been already known by many, says Dr. Henry Chung, a senior marketing lecturer, Massey University.
The rich people consider New Zealand investor visa as a route to move to New Zealand for their children or for the lifestyle offered by the nation and not for making money, Chung maintained.
