• The scheme provides two categories of investment—Investor plus requiring a minimum foreign investment of $10 million for a minimum of three years and Investor with a minimum foreign investment of $1.5 million for a minimum period of four years.
• Another change in the rules for New Zealand investor visas includes investors having a choice of choosing any one condition from the two-namely- either churn out $1 million(New Zealand dollars) in turnover or provide full-time jobs to five people.
Prior to these changes, foreign investors wanting to come to New Zealand under the New Zealand investor visa program were required to fulfill both these requirements.
New Zealand investor scheme quite successful--He stated that the New Zealand investor visa program introduced by Immigration New Zealand around 19 months back has been successful in attracting significantly higher investment from foreigners as compared to earlier policy.
The scheme attracted around $560 million worth investment capital into the economy of New Zealand and the inflow of investment is going to increase even further with the new changes in the scheme, Dr. Coleman added.

Reduction in total stay in New Zealand under Investor Plus migrants will allure interest from rich investors, he stated. Providing with a wide range of investments for investor immigrants will allow increased number of financial institutes in New Zealand to gain from foreign investments.
