New rules for skilled workers by Canada immigration


Canada, 28th July: Canada immigration has introduced new rules on 26th June 2010 for skilled workers including certain important changes in the occupation list.

As per Canada immigration minister Jason Kenney, the changes to Canada immigration policies are aimed to reduce backlog of applications for Federal Skilled Workers.

The changes introduced by financial planners of Canada are not going to have any effect on applications received before 26th June 2010.

Following is the latest updated list of occupations (including their respective code) ----

• 0631 Restaurant and Food Service Managers
• 0811 Primary Production Managers(excluding Agriculture)
• 1122 Professional Occupations in Business Services to Management
• 1233 Insurance Adjusters and Claims Examiners
• 2121 Biologists and Relates Scientists 
• 2151 Architects
• 3111 Specialists Physicians
• 3112 General Practitioners and Family Physicians
• 3113 Dentist
• 3131 Pharmacists
• 3142 Physiotherapists
• 3152 Registered Nurses
• 3215 Medical Radiation Technologists
• 3222 Dental Hygienists & Dental Therapists
• 3233 Licensed Practical Nurses
• 4151 Psychologists
• 4152 Social Workers
• 6241 Chefs
• 6242 Cooks 
• 7215 Contractors and Supervisors, Carpentry Trades
• 7216 Electricians (Except Industrial & Power System)
• 7242 Industrial Electricians
• 7251 Plumbers

Any professional or skilled immigrant in any of the 29 occupations considered to be in-demand in Canada will have a good probability of finding full-time employment in Canada, states the government of Canada.

So, new qualifying occupations added to the list of 29 in-demand occupations include-
