United States, 14th June: Immigrants in the city of Los Angeles in the US wishing to get US citizenship or learn English will get a new source.

This was announced by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa at Evans Community Adult School on Thursday.
Giving the details about the latest move for helping immigrants in LA(Los Angeles), Villaraigosa said that it is likely to enable all US visa holders to successfully integrate into their local communities.
Moreover, the services to be provided under this program will also include granting US citizenship to the immigrants in the US.
The offer of US citizenship will be for those who are either studying in the US, working in the US or living in the US for some period.
The outreach program, which happens to be the first ever program in the nation, is a collaborative effort between federal and local officials.
As part of the new outreach program, immigrants in the US will be able to get relative information at recreation centers and libraries throughout the city of LA.
Director of US Citizenship and Immigration Services Alejandro Mayorkas and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa announced this collaborative program during a citizenship class.
Speaking about the program, Villaraigosa told the class of students hailing from 13 different nations that there is an increased need to integrate more and more new Americans into the society.
Addressing immigrants at one of the citizenship classes held at Evans Community Adult School, the LA Mayor said that the new program aims to smooth the path for those who want to get US citizenship.
One of the immigrants hailing from Taiwan who came to the US nearly five years ago was Li Hua. Hua asked the Mayor to give more details about the USCIS.
Students applying for naturalization and opting to learn English were applauded by Mayorkas. The LA Mayor also hoped that increased number of immigrants would seek to learn English or apply for US citizenship under this program.
An agreement was signed between Mayorkas and Villaraigosa in January this year to work collectively for increasing awareness about the rights and duties of citizenship.
