Most Universities in UK use students as "Cash Cows" and have poor infrastructure

The shocking news was broken by Susan Bassnett, the known educationist and the ex- pro-vice chancellor from the Warwick University; she brought forward the universities using foreign students are being used just to increase the cash flow to the Universities.

The Current Situation:

It has been recently noticed that the educational institutes charge high and earn loads from the foreign students, as a British student pays only £9,000 for one year whereas the other international students have to pay as high as double the amount nearing to £ 20,000 per year.

Surprisingly these institutes have brought and recruited those students even who lack proper knowledge of English language and are just surviving due to high payments made by them to the educational authorities. Just to maintain good income sources Universities have blind folded them on this subject and are challenging the education and immigration systems for their personal profits.

The story does not ends here only, according to a recent report, the students from Non- European countries are provided employment by the low level Universities just because to increase their profits, they are not bothered about the future of the students as well as the country.

Reason for Such Situation:

Previously the British Universities were sufficiently funded by the government grants to maintain the high standards of education and professionalism. It counted to biggest portion of revenue and institute running system. But lately the government has withdrawn their hands and have deducted as much of the 40 percent of the total grants that were previously set aside for the Universities. As per this situation the Universities have to manage finances of their own and are totally dependent on the students for their revenues. As the result now the Universities are more concentrating how to increase their profits and ignoring the infrastructure and educational quality.

The Result:

As recently the London Metropolitan University truth turned out, it has shaken the faith of government’s faith in such University. Strict actions are on their way due to this, it is quiet expected that the thousands of Non- European students and the non-deserving teachers may have to face deportation and hence have to return back to their native places. Even the immigration department is working to remove such students who do not possess a proper student visa. As well government is determined to find out more such kind of Universities and is ready to take actions against them to ensure and maintain the high standards of education system in the country.
