More immigrants mean more US jobs

United States, 10th April: Allowing increased number of foreigners to immigrate to the US can actually help in creating more jobs in the US.

And this is certainly what the US economy needs desperately, at least now.

Welcome more immigrants, boost job creation--The US economy is still struggling to overcome financial crisis. And a high rate of joblessness is jeopardizing efforts by the US government to make the economy stable.

So, the question that often pops up in many American minds is common, i.e., how to boost job creation in the US. And the answer to this question is quite simple and obvious, i.e., by increasing immigration intake in the country.

Indeed, this is, undoubtedly, the answer to a number of problems engulfing the US economy. Job creation can prove to be a boon for the cash-starved Americans finding ways to control their fears regarding inflation.

Estimates unveiled by the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that role of immigrants in creating highest number of jobs in the US between the year 2010 and 2020 is of great significance. If America wants to remain globally competitive, it must be open to welcoming immigrants, be it for filling gaps, starting new enterprises or for other ventures leading to generation of new jobs.

Reforms needed in US immigration—We need to agree that the US immigration rules are in need of reforms. The nation needs to change its immigration laws to make it easier for foreigners willing to invest funds for setting up of new businesses.

Setting up of new businesses by foreigners in the US will lead to creation of new jobs.

And this, in turn, will help in controlling high rate of unemployment among Americans. It is an accepted fact that only a handful of Americans show their willingness to work at low-skilled jobs including farm jobs or seasonal jobs in the US. And in such a scenario, the nation has no option but to seek foreigners to work on jobs requiring low-skills.

Another fact that reiterates the need for allowing more immigrants to come and live here for undertaking various vacant job positions in the US is that the US workforce is aging quite fast.

So, with more and more baby boomers reaching retirement age, the US will have to look for foreigners to work at high-skilled jobs as well as low-skilled jobs in the nation. Only then can the economy remain stable.
