More Britons seeking jobs abroad

United Kingdom, 30th October: Increasing number of British people are seeking jobs overseas, reveal the findings of a recruitment consultancy.

Findings of a recruitment company – IntaPeople- maintain that there has been an increase of 16 percent in the number of online searches for work abroad in the third quarter over the second quarter.
Australia topped the list of most popular destinations for job seekers from overseas while Dubai and Canada followed in the list of favored job destinations abroad.
Among the factors that allured people to look for jobs overseas included relatively warmer climates and lucrative offers, stated director of IntaPeople, Stephen Riley.
He added that highly competitive remuneration packages are being offered to people for working abroad which include first-rate health benefits, tax-free pays and relocation costs.
No wonder, such offers are likely to tempt several Britons wanting to move overseas for working there and if the jobs are in a nation with warmer climate, then the offer is certainly going to be more lucrative, added Riley.
Britain has nearly 2.5 million people living without any jobs presently and that’s one of the major reasons compelling Britons to explore job opportunities overseas, stated Riley. Britons, especially the younger generation, are literally slogging every day in search of jobs in the UK but without getting any results for their efforts.
Joslin Rowe’s(a financial recruitment consultancy) official spokeswoman Belinda Walmsley stated that it was quite common to see an increase in the number of online searches for work towards the year-end. With the last couple of years proving to be really tough for people, they tend to start exploring immigration possibilities as the winter approaches, added Walmsley.
Seeing the extremely pessimistic scenario of jobs in the UK especially after the worst global economic slowdown, several Britons are actually now firming up their decision to move overseas and work there although they had been considering such opportunities for quite some time, Walmsley asserts.
The latest official figures by the ONS (Office for National Statistics) reveal around five million UK-born people living overseas.
The year 2008 witnessed highest number of Britons leaving the nation for a year or more with around 427,000 leaving UK for nations abroad, the figures maintain.
