According to a number of factors oncologist may recommend treatment options including surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. These three treatments are most commonly used to treat mesothelioma cancer.

Oncologists recommend some type of surgery followed by chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The type of chemotherapy and the dose received is carefully calculated by the oncologist on the basis of factors such as weight, type of cancer and stage of cancer.
