Lack of Apt Jobs--Immigrating and Settling in a New Country-The Qualification Question

Here is a brief look into the job related hassles faced by immigrants to a new home!

Immigration is always a challenging decision that brings about various changes in the life of a person. Even the people who are dependent on him are affected by these changes. Most people who migrate to some different place do so in order to give a new dimension to his or her career. But it is not always easy to set foot on a new land, come to terms with the new place and make everything go smoothly for him. Employment is a big issue faced by people opting for immigration.

The problems revealed

Coming to a new place the most common problem that a person can face is to get hold of a job. Being a foreigner they are always kept at bay from opportunities that any native can get. In spite of having all the knowledge and the skills that might be required for a particular job, the immigrants are marginalized. Natives are always given more preference to the immigrants in any country and hence in spite of deserving a job an immigrant might not get in on a foreign land.

As a result of this immigrants have to look for first level jobs or jobs that are far below their educational levels. There also another problem awaits them. When these highly qualified immigrants go looking for jobs to in some of these petty first level companies, they deem them too qualified to be recruited in the jobs. There might be two possible reasons for such frustrating decision of the employers.
One of the reasons is that the employers fear that the highly qualified persons might soon get bored out of the job or might learn the work too fast than the others and go on to leave the job. But in most cases the reason for the immigrants is that it remains an alibi not to give them a chance in place of some native even if he or she might not be deserved of the job.

Summing Up
There are many reasons that result in such discriminations in case of the immigrants. Racism could well be a significant factor for such behavior even though it is not really shown in the open. The cultural, religious and language barriers may in some cases be the reasons for the immigrants facing such problems in a new place. In some places it is the most common tendency of the natives to give the people of their own country more preferences than the immigrants. They are of the idea that these immigrants might well be killing the opportunities and the rights of the natives in their own country.
