Labor opened doors of the UK to three million migrants

United Kingdom, 22nd February: The UK Labor government allowed nearly 3.2 million immigrants into the UK, latest official figures show.

This has been revealed by the findings of a latest research which lays bare the open-door policy of the Labor government during the 13 years in rein. This resulted in an increase of three million in the foreign-born population of the UK.
Meanwhile, it has been found that around 1 million UK citizens left the nation forever. MigrationWatch UK said that figures are likely to be published on Thursday by the Office for National Statistics.
Chairman of the UK think-tank, Sir Andrew Green said that the unlimited immigration levels in the UK are not in accordance with the wishes of the majority of UK’s population.
Moreover, the UK population was not consulted over this issue by the Labor government. While calling the policy of the UK immigration as a great betrayal by the Labor government, Sir Andrew added that this has put an unacceptable strain on the public services of the country.
He said that the step was aimed to attract huge number of votes by the Labor.
Pressure of extremely higher levels of immigration in the UK have burdened housing, railways, roads, schools, infrastructure, hospitals apart from the quality of living in the UK, he asserted.
Hence, it becomes all the more important for the current UK government to take stern action for controlling UK immigration levels in the coming times, Sir Andrew warned.
Damian Green, the UK immigration minister also agrees with the views of the chairman of the UK think-tank. Mr. Green said the public services are bearing the brunt of higher UK immigration levels.
He said that this is the reason for major reforms in the UK immigration system in a bid to bring down the level of UK immigration to ‘tens of thousands’.
The annual UK immigration limit is already in progress to reduce the UK economic visas apart from several other reforms in the rules for UK student visas, UK spouse visas and other UK visas which have been abused in the past due to several loopholes, Green added.
