Labor hid UK migration figures

United Kingdom, 26th September: Labor government has been alleged to have hidden the truth about UK immigration figures during its reign.

Tory leaders say labor buried up around five reports with regard to immigration data.
Labor relaxed UK immigration norms to attract immigrants-- Labor government relaxed UK immigration norms to help immigrants come to the UK, findings of a National Institute of Economic and Social Research report suggest. Reports have been revealed before the public by the Tory leaders. The reports that were not released by the Labor government cost taxpayers around £165,000.
The truth was kept secret as ministers did not feel at ease with the immigration findings. As per the report, changes in UK immigration polices along with openness of the UK resulted in alluring around 44 percent of immigrants here.
In addition, around 30 percent of immigrants arrived to the UK due to expansion of EU while 23 percent came here to join their relatives or friends, the report further asserts.
Around 94 percent of immigrants coming to the UK hailed from Bangladesh, Pakistan, India or poor Easter European nations.
And the number of non-UK residents in the UK increased two times during the year 2009.
Hidden UK migration figures mock Labor’s promises—The Tory leaders stated the unreleased facts about UK immigration numbers are a mockery of tall promises of the Labor government.
It’s a shameful cover-up by UK’s Labor party that first failed to deliver its promises on immigration numbers and then tried to cover-up the truth, stated Grant Shapps, a local government minister. Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, the two foreign UK Prime Ministers had pledged to allow only skilled migrants from Romania and Bulgaria to come to the UK.
However, contrary to their promises, around 25 percent of such migrants possessed lower levels of education.
That is not all. The reports further allege that majority of such migrants from Romania and Bulgaria had around four children leading them to the likelihood of claiming jobless benefits.
As per the present UK immigration rules, migrants from such nations are not eligible to claim jobless benefits unless they have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum period of one year.
The Labor party also kept the prediction of increase in the UK’s population to 65.6 million by the year 2018.
