Kenney launches new online tool for Canada immigration information

Canada, 5th May: Canada immigration minister Jason Kenney launched an online educational tool for providing knowledge about history, civics and citizenship of Canada.

The online educational resource is meant to be used by teachers, students and youth alike.
“A Fun Path to Learning”, the first module of this interactive online resource uses material from ‘Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship’, the new Canada citizenship guide.
The future modules of this program will include different educational activities to provide knowledge about immigration and monarchy.
The most distinguishing aspect of the first module of this new online educational tool is that students will be provided knowledge about various historical and political facts as well as institutions by involving them in activities and games.
Minister Kenney encouraged all students as well as teachers to come forward and unveil the new fun learning experience while gaining a thorough understanding about history, cultures, values, different symbols and political institutions of Canada. In addition, the students and youngsters can get to know how national identity of Canada has been shaped by different cultural and ethnic communities living in Canada.
“A Fun Path to Learning”, the new online tool is challenging, interesting and fun learning. It is meant not just for teachers and the students including those studying at elementary, junior and even high level but their parents as well, Canadian immigration department maintained. It includes information on civics, geography, history and social studies.
It is not for newcomers or new immigrants in Canada but for all Canadians to give a better understanding of Canada because a share
understanding of our nation unites all as Canadian citizens, stated Minister Kenney.
It may be noteworthy that the new Canada citizenship guide- “Discover Canada- The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship” has been made available to be downloaded as an audio.
