Indian students stranded due to license cancelling of a major University

In a recent development the license of Metropolitan University has been cancelled which is based at London. The University is supposed to be in noncompliance with the laws of Europe which has led to the disaster.

The University stands first in the row of cancelled license; it was supposedly abusing the visa norms and was malfunctioning with the funds too.

There are 2,600 students enrolled with the university, out of which hundreds of them re Indians. If all these students are not transferred to any other university of UK within 60 days then the international students may face deportation back to their home countries.

The rippling effect of cancelled license does not stop here. The Indian students who had secured their visas to go to this university, will see the same getting cancelled along with this their dream of studying in UK will also get crushed.

The officials have informed that if such student still travels to UK then he will barred from entering the nation.

The next academic sessions begins in September and all these students who got enrolled for the new session have nothing much to do but to wait and watch.

The support is provided to transfer the Non EU students and Indian students for shifting to some other university.

The University says, “The implications of the revocation are hugely significant and far reaching.”

The Vice Chancellor of LMU, Malcolm Gillies says, “The absolute priority is current and prospective students and that the university will meet all its obligations to them.”

Universities Minister David Willetts says, “Genuine students should be shifted to other universities for finishing their studies.”

He informed that a task force will be appointed to work with LMU and work a program so that the innocent students can continue their studies without a break.

The spokesman of Universities has informed that the problem lies with one of the universities; else British Universities are the best in the world.

The incident has left Indian students and other international students with a doubt about British universities.
Experts in this field suggest them to verify well before enrolling to any other university whether it is in UK or any other nation.
