The country has experienced a series of changes on Immigration and Immigrants. In fact, it is the other way round when the immigrants are getting bombarded with some new development or the other which mostly is not in their favor.
The closure of certain universities leaving hundreds of students at lurch and many other such news which has actually put a question mark on the Immigrant security and their fate in UK.
The new sword of Immigrants is about the taxes which have been dug after the state of shrinking economy of UK.
A recent data reveals that the economy of the country has shrunk by 0.5% in the quarter of April-June.
A survey reveals that less than 30% of people want the government to spend on welfare and this is merely due to the existing recession in the nation. Recession has hardened the attitude of people to the extent that they don’t even want to spend for disabled people of the society.
People have been forced to change their attitude towards immigrants too; according to a study more than 50% of people don’t want to allow the immigrants to come here. They understand that they biggest cause of unemployment in UK are the immigrants who steal away the jobs from the natives.
More than 200,000 people immigrate to UK every year, but there is a planning to cut down immigration level below 100,000 in another three years’ time.
Prime Minister has made announcements to make the “marriage visa rules tougher” than before.
David Cameron, Prime Minster informs that, “Things would get tougher not easier. The Government would take steps to stop sham marriages and ensure that family migrants how come here are in genuine relationship with their partner.”
He has also informed that people with low income become a “burden to the welfare system and avoid paying the taxes.”
For students wanting to immigrate to UK, things have become tougher than before. The standards have been set higher than what they used to be.
Even the students are not feeling confident to make a move due to the scams happening at various colleges and universities of UK.
Overall, things do not seem to be as easy and smooth as they used to be till some time back.
