Immigration Department enforce stricter rules for Human Smugglers

In a fresh warning coming from Immigration Department, the “human smugglers” have been warned of doing away from adopting any malpractices to help illegal people sneak into the country.
In this reference, Immigration Minister Jason Kenney says, “Canada has a generous and open legal immigration system, but hose trying to enter the nation through any backdoor would be wasting their time and money as well.”
Immigration Department handles Human smuggling
The Intelligence department is alert and deep rooted enough to trap the smugglers and curb the process of illegal entry of unauthorized people.
In the recent past, the department has caught people who have been trying to enter the nation through Thailand and Indonesia and most of them have been coming from Sri Lanka.
To support the effort Prime Minister, Harper has announce a financial aid of &12 million, last year so that the issue of human struggling at a larger scale.
The law to combat Human Smuggling
In June 2012, a law was framed in the name of Protecting Canada’s Immigration System Act which has helped the officials to prosecute the human smugglers. The law ensures that such Smugglers are sentenced for a period of minimum 10 years.
Also, people trying to sneak will be detained so that they don’t pose any threat to the security of the country.
Immigration Department supports the law
Kenney informs that the law has never meant to persecute those who facilitate illegal immigration.
He adds, we have always been clear that it’s never been our intention to fine people who facilitate migration illegally for humanitarian purposes.”
He informs that the objective of the law is to focus on criminals who are operating human smuggling syndicates for profit and not family members or humanitarian workers.
The Department is committed to strengthen the integrity of the generous immigration system, which has been allowing more immigrants every than any other country.
The Immigration Department also shares that more than 14,000 refugees will be resettled in country in the year 2013 alone.
The Government and Immigration Department is making all possible attempts to preserve human rights and curb any illegal entry of any individual through smugglers. And all this is done to preserve the security and integrity of the existing beautiful system of Immigration.
