Illegal Immigrants pay a price to flee from UK

There are smugglers who help the illegal immigrants to flee out of UK against a huge price paid to them

A recent study reveals that UK has given the right to stay to almost 180,000 illegal immigrants in the name of “asylum amnesty”.

Yet, there are more than 40,000 such immigrants who are either trying to flee from the country by adopting some mean or the other or they are making some effort to stay back.

Price paid by the illegal Immigrants

A study has revealed that, illegal immigrants are found to be paying as much as £1,500 for them being smuggled out of UK.

They are paying up such a huge price because they have no legal documents like passport or any other paper and neither do they have any document to show their entry into the country.

Ways of coming out of UK

Some of these illegal immigrants have informed that they would be sneaked out on lorry and truck and they would be reaching these transporting vehicles on a separate vehicle.

Efforts to stay back

While there are many who want to come out of the country at any cost, there are quiet some who want to stay back and earn their livings.

Another revelation suggests that earning which many of these illegal people make is not through a healthy source; rather many of them are engaged into “prostitution”.

In fact, there are leaders amongst them who run such a “so called business” and avail jobs for others too.
There are people who report that they would be meeting as many as 40 people because they have to collect money for their family’s need.

Efforts made by Immigration Department

Immigration Minister Mark Harper informs that “It is not possible to catch every single person who tries to enter the country illegally.”

He also assured that those who are caught are returned back to the where they entered first.

Expenditure for UK Border Agency

As per information released under Freedom of Information request, in the last five years UKBA has supposedly spent more than £125 million on deportation.

There is also an information about half of the people appealing against the deportation and hence they are not allowed to deported.

UKBA and in turn the Government is having to bear huge expenditures because, if the plane taking the “illegal immigrants” sees half or even more applying against the order then the cost of making the staff associated is quite large.

Hence, illegal immigrants have their own set of challenges whether they go back to their own country or stay back illegally in UK. And, Government has its own issues associated with cost.
