Horrors faced by immigrant detainees in detention cells

United States, January 21: The fact that a large number of immigrants caught and lodged in detention cells by immigrant officials in different nations unveils a horrible truth about the fate meted out to such detainees.

And to make the matters worse for the relatives and the loved ones of such detainees, majority of governments hide their heinous crimes by hiding themselves beneath the false veil of the so-called transparency and the quality standards of immigration departments. 

As per the latest report by a renowned daily, a significant number of detainees suffer serious injuries caused by the officials and several of immigrants do not receive any treatments for such injuries. Also, the number of deaths of illegal detainees in detention cells has been increasing, much to the horror of sufferers. 

The Times, a famous publication of America in collaboration with the American Civil Liberties Union, has brought forward significant proofs to provide evidence of such acts of violence against the immigrants. 

A recent report had laid bare the severe form of torture and violent acts on an immigrant detainee from Africa lodged in a American jail. 

And, when this story was brought in the knowledge of the public, a spokesperson warned his superiors about such probes into detention deaths and tortures taking place in the detention cells. 

The warning by the spokesperson to his supervisors sent them a clear message to be prepared to make strong response to hide any truths before the public. 

Taking cue from such reports, the Obama administration has come forward ensuring sufficient reforms in the immigration rules so as to prevent any such incidences from happening in the near future. And, the leader of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, John Morton, has assured to make the civil detention appropriate for the wellbeing of the inmates detained in such cells. 

Such assurances, however, will take quite some time to re-instill the wavering and almost lost faith of the people in the policies of the illegal departments.
