Is the grass really greener in US or Canada?
by Patricia R - September 3, 2010
Canada, 3rd September: A large number of people want to move overseas to get better jobs and improved lifestyle. But is it really worth moving to Canada or the US?

Well, this is an issue that needs worth consideration since it affects lives of many potential immigrants wanting to immigrate overseas. A recent survey has indicated that almost 53 percent of youth prefer immigrating to Canada.
And many have the notion that Canada is a nation which respects the individual rights of the people than any other nation
So, let’s analyze the situation a little deeply to know what the situation really is for immigrants opting to move overseas.
Points not in favor of immigration to Canada---
• High unemployment--Moving overseas to nations like the US or Canada, for that matter, might not be a fruitful decision seeing the high rate of joblessness in these nations. Latest estimates show that Canada has an unemployment rate of nearly 8 percent.
• Crime- It’s not only the poor scenario of jobs in Canada. The fact is that there happen to be instances of substance abuse, crime etc. which are unlikely to leave a poor impression of Canada.
• High costs of living—Yet another factor of great concern for the would-be immigrants to Canada is the comparatively high cost of living there (especially those hailing from developing nations like India). You can enjoy quality life but at increased price.
Points favoring immigration to Canada---
• Friendly people- People in Canada are extremely welcoming and friendly towards their neighbors and the immigrants alike. They will easily chat with you or help you whenever there is any need.
• Quality lifestyle- Canada is, indeed, a friendly nation where you can look forward to high quality of life for you and your family after immigrating there. This is a good factor to allure you to apply for Canada immigration at the earliest.
• Exotic views- Canada is home to some of the famous and exotic sights and places in the world. You will fall in love with all of them and will flock to such places whenever you find time while in Canada.
