Is the grass really greener abroad?

United States, 2nd January: There are numerous people living in miserable conditions in their native countries who dream of striking it big in foreign countries

The normal view of the foreign countries held by a common man living in developing nations is abundant and healthy food and all good things any one could dream of.

But the fact remains that what they dream or think of foreign lands is a big myth, which they only discover after moving away from their own countries. Among many difficulties encountered by aliens in foreign lands is difficulty in making friends, learning local language, making adjustments to different the lifestyles of the respective countries and so on.

And among prominent difficulties faced by many are the wrath faced by the immigrants from the native people because the latter think of the former as a threat to the job market in their countries. This is due to the fact that the immigrants are ready to work for much lower rate than the natives which increase the competition for the natives.

However, the fact is that all these facts do not hinder several people from migrating to foreign countries including US, Canada, UK, Australia and several others.

As per the latest data, there has been an increase of nearly 13 percent in the number of visas issued by Canada while the Australian government registered an increase of 25 percent in the number of visas issued to the Irish citizens.

Hence, every year, an increasing number of Indians, Irish and citizens of many developing nations including China are in the foreign lands, try their best to move out of their countries.

And once they succeed in their motive, they do their best to master the local language.

Nevertheless, the truth which needs to be borne in mind by those thinking to migrate to foreign lands is that the grass is certainly not greener as is perceived by many.
