United States, 1st October: Convincing US visa official about your return to India can help you get US visa.

This is a valuable suggestion given by US visa chief Michael Cathey and US consular section chief Nicholas Manring to aspirants of US visas from India.
Assurance of applicant’s return ensures US visa--While giving guidelines to the US visa applicants during an interactive session in Bangalore, India, Manring said that assurance to the visa official by the US visa applicant about his return from the US was vital in getting a US visa.
The interview time for each US visa applicant is between three to four minutes and around 100 applicants for US visas are interviewed by one US consular official every day.
And in this short span, the US visa applicant needs to give convincing answers to the questions concerning his duration of stay in the US, his reason for going to the US, the reason of his selection for the US visit and his integration in the American way of life.
In addition, the US visa applicant must also be able to give convincing reasons to the US consular official regarding the number of other employees engaged in similar work and why he is selected for this US assignment during the interview.
Sometimes, the applicant has mentioned in his US visa application form of staying in the US for a period of two months but informs during his interview of his staying in the US for nine months period.
And the candidate is not able to give any suitable reason for his increased stay in the US, informs Manring.
Exempt appearance for interview for applicants above 70—Many applicants want an exemption in the personal appearance for candidates aged 70 or above for the US visa interview.
Presently, such an exemption is available for people aged above 80 years. Moreover, people also want intimidation of the interview date to be given at least two months before the interview.
The US visa consul has decided to centralize the US visa process to make sure same standards are followed for all US visa applicants from different regions and to offer convenience to the applicants.
