United Kingdom, 31st August: Nearly nine out of ten jobs in the UK were taken up by foreign nationals, latest official data shows.

And the number of UK nationals getting employment in the UK last year is said to be just a small percentage despite a significant increase in the number of working age people in the nation.
This clearly shows that the number of immigrants getting work in the UK has gone up in the recent years.
Need for putting more Britons on jobs--There is a dire need for controlling immigration levels in the UK if the government wants to avoid seeing a ‘jobless recovery’ and assure jobs to the British workers, experts have cautioned.
In the last one year, UK has witnessed a record number of new jobs being created in the economy, allegedly the highest among the developed nations, states Chancellor George Osborne. However, the point worth consideration is a growing number of Britons still being without jobs.
This has put a question mark on the efforts by the UK government to attract more and more British into jobs and help them get off benefits.
Education, training needed for British-born workers--As per the data revealed by the ONS(Office for National Statistics), the number of people having jobs in the UK has gone up by 181,000 as compared to the previous year.
But, the point worth mentioning here is that the number of Britons getting jobs is merely 14,000.
This stresses the need for education and the training needed by UK-born workers to help them get jobs in the UK, states a Tory member of the Home Affairs committee, James Clappison. UK Prime Minister David Cameron has been reiterating his pledge to control UK immigration levels and to bring more and more Britons into employment.
And the fact that immigrants in the UK are getting jobs leaving Britons to depend on benefits is a big blow to the Cameron government, states Tory MP Priti Patel.
Now is the right time to enable Britons get back into employment, she asserted, as the economic recovery is already underway.
Chairman of MigrationWatch UK, Sir Andrew Green, stated that the nation must work towards improving the incentives and skills for UK nationals while cutting back immigration wherever possible. Data for the year 2010 shows one-fifth increase in the UK immigration taking the total to 239,000.
