United Kingdom, 11th November: Relaxation of UK passport checks at UK borders will increase child trafficking, officials of UK Borders have warned.

Child traffickers may make hay with new rules announced by May--Child traffickers are likely to take benefit of the new UK immigration rules revealed by May aimed to ease border controls of the UK. UK border officials said not checking children aged below 18 years are going to increase worries for the nation.
The UK Home Secretary Theresa May has issued instructions to eliminate border checks for children coming to the UK. The staff at various airports was finding it tough to deal with long queues.
And they were told that extra officials could be provided to them provided they were willing to downgrade their checks at borders, a secret document reveals.
Hence, it maintained that the UK border staff was under pressure to accept orders of Mrs. May to ease rules for getting additional resources.
May accuses Clark of wrongdoing--Meanwhile, Mrs. May has denied any wrong step and even UK PM David Cameron came to her rescue. It may be worth mentioned that head of the UK Border force Brodie Clark was accused by Mrs. May of extending the pilot scheme meant for ceasing checking of biometric chips at various European passports to non –Europeans.
Mr. Clark accused the UK Home Secretary of giving misleading information to the people.
May, on the other hand, accused Clark of wrongdoing. She added that Clark was suspended by his boss for giving permission beyond the instructions by the ministers with regard to easing UK passport controls. Even UK immigration minister Damian Green denied having given such authority to Mr. Clark.
Several ministers affirmed that the pilot scheme was aimed to curb undocumented immigration and did not pose any threat to the security of the nation nor did it increase the risk of crime.
Clark has been called as a good official by Jack Straw, a former Labor Home Secretary, while accusing May of leveling baseless allegations against Clark.
Ed Miliband, a Labor leader has also blamed May for the UK Border fiasco. But Cameron reiterated that he backed May’s decision adding that it was not compromising the security of the nation in any way.
