Doors closed for foreign students in Tri Valley University

United States, 8th November: Nearly 1,200 Indian students of Tri Valley University are going to return back due following US government’s refusal to allow these in other US universities.

Indians will need to make fresh US visa applications—If Indian students affected by Tri-Valley University want to move to the US once again, they will have to make fresh applications for US visas. Meanwhile, there is no official information about the date of their return.
As per the NRI-Cell operating from Hyderabad, no information has been received by it from the US government with regard to the time of the return of Indian students.
No blacklisting of Indians involved in criminal act— The US government officials maintained that all returning Indian students of Tri-Valley University will be absolved of all charges after moving out of the US.
The US government added that the US immigration department-USCIS(US Immigration and Citizenship Services) will not blacklist any Indian students alleged of involvement in any criminal offence.
This means that all such Indian students, if making fresh applications for US visas, will not be rejected by the US immigration department on the basis of their involvement in any previous US visa fraud.
The US Tri-Valley University visa scam has affected hundreds of Indians enrolled in this university for getting US degrees. Out of total Indians studying in Tri-Valley University, California (US), nearly 80 percent hailed from the state of Andhra Pradesh (India).
The US government has been repeatedly giving assurance to the Indian government that it will work towards providing a solution to the issue.
Around six months back, the US government officials had stated that majority of Indians studying in Tri-Valley University in California will be provided admissions in some other university in the US. And this month, 350 out of 1500 Indian students affected by Tri Valley University were facilitated transfer to other US universities by the US government.
It may be worth mentioned here that a raid on California’s Tri Valley University had put fate of hundreds of Indians in chaos and jeopardized their future. And taking a cue from such incidents, Indian government has assured that it will not permit any ‘fly-by-night operators’ to set up their shops in India after the nation opens up its education institutes for international tie-ups.
