To keep a control in number of students entry to the country, more changes have been made in Tier 4 students visa

Recently many steps have been taken to change the immigration policies by the government and immigration authorities in order to keep a check on the number of students coming to the country.
CAUSE OF CHANGE
As one of the attractive features that draw large number of students to the country was opportunity to work in the country while studying and hence also cleared out path for them to become the residents of the country.
The immigration authorities are now limiting these privileges provided to the students so that they can control over all immigration to the country.
From the July 4th 2011, another important change has been implemented for the Tier 4 student visa category, which will help the country to restrict the number of student’s immigration. These announced changes are applicable to both Student-Adult Visa as well as Student – Child Visa that is covered under the Tier 4 point based system visas.
NEW RULES
As per the changes announced by the British authorities following amendments has been made:
From now on a student is eligible to work in the country only if the student coming is sponsored by the higher education institutions and other public funded colleges. These students will be allowed to work part in their college days and full time only during their college offs. No other students except will be allowed to work in the country.
For sponsoring their dependents, only those students will be allowed who will get the sponsorship by higher education institution at the postgraduate level and that too not beyond 12 months and if someone is sponsored by the government then that student can sponsor dependent for not more than 6 month.
Even those who wants to pursue another course after completing the previous one, they need to get an confirmation from the educational institution certifying that the new course opted is genuine enough and will prove the progression from the already studied course by the student.
There will also be the streamlining of the applications if a student is thought of as low risk national and is also sponsored by the Highly Trusted ones.
Even from the previous steps taken by the government and authorities a large number of decrease is noticed, most of the overseas students have started opting for the countries where they are allowed to study and work together without much restrictions.
The government is even planning to abolish Tier 1 Post Study Work in the coming next April.
