Canadian citizenship granted to new Canadians

Canada, 16th April: Oath of Canada citizenship was administered to nearly 51 new Canadians in a special function held in Ottawa, Canada earlier during the week.

The special event was organized at the Canada Science and Technology Museum and was attended by Canadian immigration officials and various government officers.

Among those attending the Canada citizenship ceremony included former minister of employment and immigration, Flora MacDonald and Royal Galipeau, a MP(Member of Parliament) for Ottawa-Orleans who attended the function on behalf of Jason Kenney, Canadian Immigration minister.

Canada citizenship ceremony was part of the 4-H Council’s seminar “Adventures in Citizenship” held annually. The ceremony promotes rights and duties in becoming Canadian citizens. Citizenship ceremony also awarded 72 reaffirmation certificates to various members of the Canadian 4-H Council. A new page of the story of Canada is written every time Canada citizenship is awarded to any immigrant in Canada.
