Canada Work Visa Guide for Employers

Canada happens to be among the few Western nations that is seeking immigrants. Hence, any non-Canadian person that you want to employ may get qualified for Independent Immigration as per the points system. But the problem is that Independent Immigration is a very long process and any urgently needed staff will need to be transferred using sponsored visas by you, and with your help, getting a Canadian employer sponsored visa is just a matter of few weeks.

Canadian Employment Authorisation (employer sponsored visa)

Time to get Canada work visa:

Between 2-6 weeks.

Benefits:

This type of Canadian work visas is quite often used by employers to get senior managers/executives into Canada. This visa can also be used for employing highly skilled individuals to fill a vacant position that has been validated in order to show that despite utmost recruitment efforts, it’s been impossible to find a suitable skilled person who is a permanent resident of Canada. Applying for the following listed types of foreign workers is a bit easier since these don’t require any validation by Canada’s Human Resource Center:

  • Senior managers/executives seeking entry into Canada as intra-company transferees.
  • Performers/musicians having a contract for performing in Canada.
  • Volunteers having offers of positions with registered charitable or Canadian religious organizations.
  • Post-doctoral fellows.
  • Exchange Professors.
  • Film crews wanting to film travelogues or documentaries in Canada.

Technicians or engineers going to Canada for supervision of installation of any equipment sold to a Canadian buyer by their company or going to service or repair of such equipment.

Other exceptions:

In addition to the above stated exceptions, any vacancies will be required to get validity from the Canadian Human Resource Center by assuring that no Canadians or permanent residents were available for filling the vacancies. There is no logic of applying for validation until the applicant/candidate possesses skills in quite short supply.

Dependants

Normally, the spouse of those having work authorization will be required to get their work authorization in order to work in Canada. This implies that the offer of job will need to get validation from the Canadian Human Resources Center as stated above. However, the only difference being that they are allowed for applying from within Canada. However, if their spouse qualifies as Highly Skilled Temporary Workers, then he/she can be granted EAs under the category of Spousal Employment Authorization Pilot for Highly Skilled Temporary Workers.

IT professionals

A project has been specifically designed in order to streamline the flow of highly skilled Software Professionals into Canada. Read more to know the details of the project.

Data required:
