Canada’s new start-up business visa—Want to move to Canada for starting up a new business venture as an immigrant? Then, now is the right time to do so.
Why? Because the government of Canada has now announced the introduction of its new immigration visa for immigrant entrepreneurs.
Canada government has finally given a nod to Canada start-up visa program for attracting foreign entrepreneurs to come and do business here.
New Canada visa program for luring budding entrepreneurs—Canada’s new business visa program is targeted at attracting budding foreign entrepreneurs to the nation. Speaking about the new Canada visa scheme, Chris Alexander, Canada’s immigration minister said the new Canada visa program will help in driving economic development in the nation.
It is the only means of staying ahead of competitors, said Alexander, while giving details about the latest immigration endeavor in Toronto earlier this week.
Canada business visa program—Also known as Canada Business Incubator stream, the Canada start-up visa program will be expanded. It was announced way back around six months. But its yet to issue any single visa till date. This Canada visa program fast-tracks Canada permanent residency for immigrant entrepreneurs wanting to live and do business here.
The only condition for this Canada visa program is getting funding from any of the designated Canada investors. The annual intake for this Canada start-up visa program has been fixed at 2,750 visas each year.
And it happens to be a five-year pilot program. Immigrant entrepreneurs can make an application directly to incubator and accelerator schemes.
The proposals will be evaluated and recommended to Canada citizenship and immigration department –CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) for getting final approvals. The aim of the nation is to attract business for creation of jobs and new opportunities for Canadian people, said vice president of CABI, Michael Donahue.
It will work towards attracting high-growth potential companies to Canada for reaching domestic markets and international markets as well, Donahue further affirmed.
There is no minimum investment amount required for this Canada visa program from immigrant entrepreneurs, said Canada immigration minister Alexander maintained.
However, it is being anticipated that foreign entrepreneurs coming to Canada will be having some fund for giving a kick-start to their businesses, he said.
