Canada immigration rates need to be increased

Canada, 16th June: An eminent scholar has stressed on the need to increase rates of Canada immigration in order to reach 100 million mark for total population of Canada.

In the provocative essay by a University of Toronto scholar Irvin Studin, it has been stated that increased Canadian immigration is beneficial to the nation for a number of reasons. 

Hence, Studin suggests having an aggressive immigration policy for pushing rates of Canadian immigration to nearly three times the present population of 34 million.

The essay was published Tuesday in Global Brief, an international affairs magazine. The essay states that by growing the population variable, Canada can look forward to witnessing multiplication of its strategic power. 

Tripling of Canada’s current population will result in bringing pincer-like effect. This include a much larger demographic base for building strong institutions and structures across Canada.
