by Guneet S - January 21, 2013
Canada, 21st January: Canada’s recent decision of immigration backlog wipeout can be a blessing in disguise for aspirants wanting to move to Canada.

Why? Because, it might have taken another couple of years before their applications could have been processed by Canada immigration department.
Apply in time for Canada immigration—This is the right opportunity for a large number of foreigners wanting to come to Canada as the government of Canada has announced wiping out immigration backlog.
Aspirants wanting to move to Canada by applying for Canada immigration must use the opportunity of Canada immigration backlog wipeout by Canada government to apply for in time Canada immigration as soon as they can.
So, aspirants need to understand and accept this decision by the Canadian government in the right stead and apply in time for immigration to Canada rather than wasting their time in criticizing the decision of Canada immigration backlog wipeout.
Canada immigration backlog wipeout unlawful- lawyers—Meanwhile, it may be worth mentioned here that several lawyers have maintained that the decision of Canada immigration department—CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) is wholly unjustified as well as against the Charter of Rights.
As per the lawyers representing nearly 1,000 immigration applicants for Canada’s Federal Skilled Worker Program, the decision to wipe out immigration backlog under Bill C-38 is unlawful. Hence, it needs to be changed at the earliest.
Nearly 97,715 applications for Canada’s FSWP(Federal Skilled Worker Program) made before 27th February, 2008 will be affected by the immigration backlog wipeout.
Lawyers representing immigrants say nearly 81.4 percent of applicants were from Africa and Asia.
Discrimination against Asian applicants--The decision is a discrimination against such applicants because they were allowed to make application at just one Canada visa office and the visa consulates allocated to applicants from African and Asian nations were insufficient for fast processing of applications from these nations as compared to those from America and Western Europe.
And this thing makes the immigration backlog wipeout unlawful. Canada immigration minister Jason Kenney must adhere by rules and regulations of Canada immigration, the lawyers maintained.
It may be noted that Canada has announced to immigration backlog wipeout was essential to Canada’s ‘just-in-time’ immigration system that is in tune with the changing employment market requirements.
