Canada Encourages Investor Immigrants over Skilled Category Workers

Canada is the best country for immigration and the best place for seeking employment and earning a good living. There applications for immigrants are increasing day by day.

Canada unlike all other countries encourages Investor immigrants over the skilled workers. In the current year Canada plans to take almost 2, 65,000 immigrants. Every country gets investor immigrants and skilled workers. They come from various parts of the world. Even Canada prefers to have more investor immigrants.

The investors bring money into the economy of the country. They also provide the much required goods and services; and this enhances the employment opportunities of the country. The officials of the Canadian government have mentioned that the immigration is at a very high rate in the year of 2010 as compared to other years.

The Canadian government definitely welcomes the immigrants; they have also mentioned that they will have to carefully manage the large number of people coming into the country. This rise is because of the lenient immigration rules and excellent economy of the country.

The Canadian government mentions that the only way to curb the increase in the immigration is to scrutinize the applications and then allow the immigration. They have already taken steps to curb the application process.

They are limiting the applications of the immigrants in certain categories. In the category of the foreign skilled workers the government has stopped taking the applications under the investor program scheme. Now onwards Canada is not accepting any applications in the investor program till the summer.

The another rule which they have implemented is that the relatives of the permanent residents i.e. is their parents, grandparents, siblings etc. can stay up to a time period of eight years. They need to wait for eight years till they are confirmed permanent resident of the country. The main challenge of the government is to somehow stop the listing for the time being. There are two ways in which it can be solved.

One is to increase the manpower to handle the increasing paperwork or the government will have to place a strict limitation on the acceptance of the applications. But after considering all the factors the government says it shall not be able to increase the resources. This leaves just one option to stop the immigrant applications for the time being. This government says shall happen first time in the history.
