Canada encourages Immigrant Investors

Immigrant Investors are encouraged in Canada

Investors Program in Canada enables and immigrants to invest money and become a part of Canada’s growth. This approach not only makes the investor an entrepreneur but it also gives an opportunity to the investor to become an entrepreneur.

In a recent development local business groups and agencies have had a meeting with the federal government regarding this program, where they discussed about the broader horizons of immigrant investor program.

Chungsen Leung, parliamentary secretary of Citizenship and Immigration informed that the meeting has proven to be quite successful as “future immigration policy” has been discussed in the meet.

Chungsen informed that a feedback has been taken from the business leaders, academicians and other stakeholders regarding this matter. Everyone has laid the emphasis on “efficient immigration system”.
Gordon Moore of Windsor-Essex regional Chamber of Commerce says, “They would continue to press the case for a pilot project to attract immigrant investors.”

He also said, “More than 250,000 immigrants come to the nation and the entrepreneur class comprises about 4000 of them. We would be encouraging them to come.”

He informed that the potential investors would be guided and counseled on running business in here. After setting up the enterprise they would be provided with constant mentoring to ensure that they run their business successfully. They would also be helped to seek loans from the lending agencies.

Clayton Smith, Vice provost of University of Windsor informed that the partnering of post-secondary institutions and Citizenship and Immigration Department would be planned. Thereafter, an evaluation will be made to ensure the staying back of potential students back in the country, once they have completed their education.

Such planning and programs will bring money to the nation and many projects which have been put on hold due to non-availability of funds can be initiated now. It would be actually a “win-win” situation for both investors and the nation.

There are investors abroad who have the money but have no avenues, now they can think of investing their money into the projects of Canada and be a part of Canada’s growth.

Smith and other experts in this area feel that the entire effort will make the nation stronger than before, the growth would not only be in terms of economy but also in terms of culture.
