Canada to attract financial managers, accountants from Britain

Canada, 23rd March: The latest news about Canadian economy is that there is acute shortage of workforce being felt in the financial as well as banking sector in the country.

The economy of the nation is recovering at an accelerated speed fuelling the need for jobs in finance sector and banking sector in Canada. Additionally, articling students will be needed in accounting firms in Canada.

The hopes are rife that the immigration will attract applicants from the United Kingdom having requisite skills in finance and banking sector. The ideally suitable candidates for such jobs in Canada will possess an experience of at least one year.

Last week, an announcement was made regarding the exceedingly high rate of labour productivity in Canada this year in the last 12 years when production sales went up much more than the expectations in January 2010.

This increase in sales gave a good push to Canada’s national currency, the Canadian dollar, which went up at US 98.55 cents, touching the highest level since July 2008.

No wonder, Canada’s Priority Occupation List has financial managers and accountants on the top as a result of exceptionally high demand for workers in such categories. The Canadian government has reduced the processing time of Canada visa for workers falling under these two categories.

Applicants having skills as financial managers and accountants along with work-experience of one year, which can be either part-time or full-time work experience, are eligible for Canadian immigration. Such applicants will be entitled to arrive in Canada between 10-12 months once they have lodged their application.

Opportunities for jobs in Canada under the above named categories are immense in several provinces in Canada and it seems that the coming two years are the best time for Canada immigration.

Under the Canadian Skilled Migration Program, points are given according to the age, education qualifications, language skills and relative work experience of the applicant for seeking Canadian immigration.
