Canada‘s online job portal for immigrants soon
Canada, 15th January: Canada government intends to introduce an online job pool for immigrants by 2014.
This has been revealed by Canada immigration minister Jason Kenney recently.
Online job pool for Canada immigrants—The plan to have an online job pool for foreigners wanting to come, live and work in Canada is a welcoming news.
Hinting out at the plan for having such a facility for newcomers to Canada, Kenney said it will facilitate Canada in attracting the optimum potential of aspiring immigrants to Canada. The new online job portal will work as a platform for bringing together employers wanting to recruit foreigners and potential immigrants looking to work in Canada.
The online job pool will be in place by the end of 2014, the immigration minister further informed.
Canada will be introducing a new online job portal for overseas talented individuals wanting to immigrate to Canada for working here. It will be effective by 2013 year end.
Online job pool to fill skilled shortages--A fact worth mentionable here is that many other nations including Australia and New Zealand have such facility available for hiring talented foreigners. And by introducing online job pool for foreigners, Canada will make a worthy step towards filling skilled shortages in the nation.
Kenney said Canada is experiencing a severe shortage of skilled workforce and it is going to worsen further in the wake of increasing number of baby boomers reaching retirement age.
Hence, the need of the hour is to allow foreigners to fill the widening gap between required number of workers and workers available to fill vacant job positions in Canada.
The nation also must work towards making the process of immigration faster and flexible, Kenney pointed out. It will help in better and faster settlement of newcomers in Canada.
Moreover, those having an offer of job in Canada even before their arrival in Canada will be able to settle here quite quickly since Canada plans to have an immigration system that gives priority to processing applications of foreigners having a pre-arranged job offer in Canada, he stated.
So, such applicants will get their applications processed in a matter of few months rather than the earlier system of having to wait for as long as eight years, Kenney claimed.
